About the CQI and IRCA Lead Auditor course Description: The course is structured so that participants gain the necessary knowledge and skills to carry out first-, second- and third-party audits of food safety management systems based on ISO 22000:2018 & FSSC 22000 in accordance with ISO 19011, ISO 22003 and ISO 17021. The course is registered and certified by FSSC and CQI and IRCA. and meets the requirements for the formal training of persons who wish to register under CQI and IRCA or another equivalent auditor certification scheme. Details of the course: - The participants' performance is continuously evaluated during the course and at the end of the course using an exam without aids (2 hours duration) - A 'Certificate of Achievement' is issued to the participants who pass both the ongoing evaluation and the written exam - A CQI and IRCA 'Certificate of Achievement' allows you to be registered as a Lead Auditor at CQI and IRCA. See here www.quality.org Purpose of the course: After completing the training, you will be able to explain: - The purpose of a food safety management system  - The business benefits associated with the improved performance a food safety management system leads to  - Auditor's role in relation to planning, implementing, reporting and following up on an audit of the management system for food safety in accordance with ISO 22000:2018, FSSC 22000 version 6 (and ISO 22003 including ISO 17021 when relevant) and ISO 19011. Participant profile: The course is aimed at everyone in the food industry who has basic knowledge of ISO 22000:2018, FSSC 22000 version 6, who needs knowledge and skills in order to be able to plan and lead process-based audits of management systems for food safety. Prerequisite: In order to pass the course, we recommend that you have the following basic knowledge: - Requirements for food safety management systems according to ISO 22000:2018 and FSSC 22000 version 6 - Principles of food safety, including prerequisite programs as specified in ISO/TS 22002 (all parts) and HACCP - The relationship between food safety and the provision of safe food in order to minimize the harmful impact on human health and proactively improve food safety performance - Knowledge of relevant national/local FSMS legislation and requirements.
