Why should you participate? Threats and attacks against information security are constantly increasing and being optimized. The best defense against them is the proper implementation and management of information security controls and best-practice processes. Control of information security is also an important expectation and demand from customers, legislators and other stakeholders. This course is designed to prepare participants to implement an Information Security Management System (ISMS) based on ISO/IEC 27001. It aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of best-practice for an ISMS and a framework for its ongoing management and improvement. Once you have participated in the course, you can take the exam. If you pass it, you can apply for the "PECB ISO/IEC 27001 Lead Implementer Certificate", which demonstrates your ability and practical knowledge to implement an ISMS based on the requirements of ISO/IEC 27001. Target group - Project managers and consultants who are involved in and deal with the implementation of an ISMS. - Consultants who want to master the implementation of an ISMS - Persons responsible for ensuring compliance with information security requirements in an organization. - Contributors in connection with the implementation of an ISMS Learning objectives At the end of this course, participants will be able to: Explain the basic concepts and principles of an information security management system (ISMS) based on ISO/IEC 27001. Interpret the ISO/IEC 27001 requirements for an ISMS from an implementer's perspective. Initiate and plan the implementation of an ISMS based on ISO/IEC 27001 using PECB's IMS2 methodology and other best practices. Support an organization in operating, maintaining and continuously improving an ISMS based on ISO/IEC 27001. Preparing an organization to undergo a third-party certification audit Education The course is organized as a combination of theoretical presentations, exercises, cases, quizzes and discussion. The instructor's long experience with information security ensures you a practical and lively course, where theory and examples from real life form the basis for your learning. The exercises are designed to prepare you well for the upcoming exam. Prerequisites We recommend that you have a basic understanding of ISO/IEC 27001. Examination & Certification After the course, it is possible to take an online exam and become certified. The teacher The course is taught by ISO/IEC 27001 expert Anders Linde, who for more than 12 years has worked with the application and implementation of standards for information security. Anders is passionate about delivering relevant, energetic and value-creating education, which addresses the challenges that come with anchoring international standards in the practical everyday life of organizations and auditing processes for information security. Anders is a certified teacher in ISO/IEC 27001, ISO/IEC 27701 for privacy protection and ISO/IEC 27005 for risk management. Alongside consulting and teaching via his company, CISO27, Anders contributes to the development of precisely the 27000 series security standards as a member of ISO/IEC JTC 1/SC 27.
