Camilla Lærkesen is herself an introvert and has been debating and immersing herself in the subject since 2014. She has a master's degree in rhetoric and journalism, and as an introverted rhetorician, coach and lecturer, she has had to train and develop her own networking skills and strategies in order to speak up. And she has come. She is the media's preferred mouthpiece when introverts are highlighted, and in the first half of 2020 alone, she has been in the media twice a month on average with her message.

When Camilla Lærkesen teaches, it takes place through exercises and strategies from the world of coaching in interaction with concrete rhetorical practices and with a great openness and understanding of the challenge that it can actually be to be an introvert in an extrovert world. An approach that is often missed among introverted employees during the usual team building and theme days. A strong and relevant network may be the way to your next job, your new girlfriend or the turning point in your life. But what if you don't have a large network, aren't the Danish champion in small talk and or simply don't have the time?

The good news is that we already have a huge network we can draw on. What we need to learn is to activate it and use it consciously.
Networking is like putting together a puzzle. We are all sitting with a huge handful of pieces: our contacts, our experiences, our expert knowledge. They fit together crosswise with people we have known for a long time and those we have just met – or maybe never met, but only chatted with.
Our task is to put the puzzle together. We do this by first looking carefully at our own pieces: what do I have in my hand? What do I need to be able to put something down? And then look at the others: Do I have something on hand that matches the neighbour's?
Camilla Lærkesen specializes in networking according to her own type and gives good advice to both introverts and extroverts on how they can make their networking efforts more efficient and play well with each other across personality types.

The corona crisis showed how the standstill and the suddenly empty social calendar contributed positively to our mental health and gave us a much-needed respite. It also taught us that many people work more effectively under completely different conditions than we are used to – for example from home or online.
We must take that learning with us into the future.
In the future, we will not be talking about introverted and extroverted people – but about introverted and extroverted qualities. We all have them, and it is crucial to bring both sides into play in order to create the right balance in the company.
