How do we resolve conflicts successfully? Are crises and conflicts only bad? Conflicts can take place on several levels - and activate emotions in those involved. Because conflicts without emotions - kept completely rational - do not become conflicts. What if conflicts are an OPENING? Lecture / Workshop for managers on handling conflicts in a way that creates potential, growth and opportunities for the company and the individual. Research shows that managers and middle managers use min. 20% of their time on conflict management. 85% of all managers report that they deal with conflicts on a daily basis. Conflicts are part of life. Yet we spend a lot of energy trying to avoid them. But most conflicts contain enormous potential for growth and development. Only a few people take advantage of it. Instead, conflicts become time-robbers that cost both employee well-being, customer service and the bottom line. It is not the conflicts that are costly, it is the managers' handling of the conflicts (or lack thereof) that costs the company dearly and that hampers productivity. What many overlook is that all conflicts occur on both an internal and external level. But as a rule, we are very focused on solving the external, while the solution lies in the internal. When it comes to conflict management, what is described as a problem is very often just a symptom of a deeper problem that few address. And this results in conflicts becoming draining, heavy and costly. And the more you as a manager learn to get to the heart of the matter and uncover the hidden conflict, the better you can handle the conflict in a way that creates learning, growth and development. Both organizationally and on a human level. As a trained mediator and having worked with conflict resolution for several decades - both in teams and individually - Christiane gives you a lecture that goes deep into the psychological factors of conflicts, while at the same time giving you a concrete understanding and tools with which enable you to spot the hidden conflicts and deal with them so that productivity and well-being increase.
