What is artificial intelligence and how does it affect your world and your work life?

Artificial intelligence is storming forward in all areas at the moment. We can talk to our computers, our cars drive by themselves, and in our workplaces more and more tasks are being taken over by machines. The smart machines are no longer just logically thinking calculators, they are intuitive and creative opponents and co-players in our daily and working lives. In this lecture, you will get the answer to why development is going so fast these years, but we also look back a thousand years in history to understand why artificial intelligence is not really that new and why artificial intelligence has some serious limitations that we need to understand if we are to avoid the dark sides of technology. The lecture is based on my book "What shall we do with people?", which was published at Gyldendal in January 2019. It will be possible to buy the book in connection with the lecture. Who is it aimed at? People with an interest in society and the technological future. However, the lecture can also be tailored to companies or industries Versions of the lecture: - The latest trends in AI: In 2022 and 2023, everyone is talking about generative AI. But what is it? And is this the start of super-intelligent machines? - Artificial intelligence and ethics: What does it mean when smart machines start making important decisions? - Artificial intelligence and unemployment: Will we all become unemployed or jobless? - Artificial intelligence and the singularity: Will the machines become superintelligent and what will happen then? (spoiler: It will be different than we think...) - Artificial intelligence and design: How should designers deal with their new AI superpowers? How long does it take? The lecture lasts 45 - 60 minutes and can be combined with subsequent workshops. However, I have also given a number of lightning-fast inspirational presentations lasting 10-15 minutes.
