Sumit Paul-Choudhury is an acclaimed author, speaker and thinker on science, technology and the future. He was editor of New Scientist, the world's most popular weekly science magazine, from 2011 to 2017. Paul-Choudhury is a physicist from Imperial College in London and has since worked as a journalist in both London and New York. He has been writing about finance and technology for fifteen years before returning to science in 2008. He was the Editor-in-Chief of Arc, an acclaimed digital publication dedicated to the future, from 2012 to 2014. In 2016, he was the co-founder and creative director of New Scientist Live, the world's most exciting festival of ideas and discoveries. Sumit Paul-Choudhury aims to make complex topics understandable and relevant, from artificial intelligence to black holes. His other interests include being the founder of Chantepleure Productions and one of the founding members of Bishopsgate Experimental Noise Theatre.
