With his 65 victories in 17 seasons, he is Denmark's most winning cyclist of all time – in the saddle seven times in the Tour de France, where in 1991 he rode six days in the yellow leader's jersey, won stage victories in 1994 and 1996 and in 1994 rode his best position as No. 19 home across the finish line. He was a professional at the age of 20 and has a total of 56 professional victories on his CV. In addition to lecturing, Rolf has since 2006 worked as an expert cycling commentator on TV2, where he – based on his extensive experience and knowledge – guides Denmark's cycling enthusiasts through the season's great classics.
