Kenneth Rogoff is the Thomas D. Cabot Professor at Harvard University and former chief economist at the International Monetary Fund (IMF). His 2009 book with Carmen Reinhart, This Time is Different: Eight Centuries of Financial Folly, has been widely cited by scholars, policymakers and journalists, with its massive data set being used extensively by researchers worldwide. His influential book, The Curse of Cash, explores the past, present and future of currency from standardized coins to cryptocurrencies. Rogoff's monthly syndicated column on global economic issues appears in over 50 countries. He is among the top ten in RePec's ranking of economists by citations. Kenneth Rogoff is an elected member of the National Academy of Sciences, the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, and the Group of Thirty.
