Katherine Richardson, who is professor of biological oceanography at the University of Copenhagen, has deep insight and knowledge about the climate agenda. In 2016, Katherine Richardson, together with 14 other "eminent scientists and experts", was appointed by the UN Secretary-General to prepare a Global Sustainable Development Report that was published in 2019. Previously, she was chairman of the government's climate commission. The report formed the background for the UN's adoption of the 2030 agenda for sustainable development and the 17 Global Goals. The purpose of the report is to strengthen the relationship between science and politics and to contribute knowledge to politicians so that they can make the necessary decisions in order to achieve the 2030 objective.
