Dr. Jessica Barker is one of the leaders in cyber security. She has been named in the top 20 as one of the most influential women in the world for cyber security in the UK. In addition, she was named one of the UK's "Top Tech Women" 50 in 2017. She has several years of experience in running her own consulting company, a broad technological knowledge and a sociological background, which together give her a unique insight into her subject. As a lecturer, she is incredibly present and manages to communicate her material so that everyone understands it. She is provocative and committed and addresses both large companies and academic conferences. She manages to engage her audience with both energy, enthusiasm and a touch of humour. Her lecture covers both the psychological and sociological aspect of cyber security and especially threats, social engineering, the psychology of fear and cyber security and the language of cyber security. She is a specialist in the culture and behaviourism of cyber security. Furthermore, she is particularly used on both national and international TV and radio and often appears on channels such as BBC, Sky News, Channel 4, Radio 4's Today program and more. Her journals have been published by, among others, Sunday Times, The Guardian and Grazia.
