Ben Legg is a recognized author and authority in the world of data-driven marketing and digital transformation. He helps companies survive and grow in a world dominated by Google, Facebook and Amazon. Legg is currently managing director of Ola UK, India's largest taxi service, and is challenged to establish the company's mainstream presence against rival Uber. Legg has great expertise and an impressive track record in several areas, including global expansion (he has lived in 9 countries and worked in over 50); people-based marketing, digital strategy, product development, business development, marketing transformation, e-commerce, big data, sales management, organizational transformation and culture. Ben Legg is an engineer and former officer in the British Army. He started his business career in 1999 with McKinsey as a strategy consultant. He then joined Coca-Cola where he held various strategy, marketing and sales roles in Greece, Poland and India. His performance caught the interest of Google, and in 2007 he was hired as COO of Google Europe, a position he held until 2009. While at Google, he created the plan for Google's monetization of all major platforms, including Search, YouTube and mobile. These plans led to a doubling of revenue in three years. Since 2010, Ben Legg has run various international companies focused on data-driven digital marketing and technology, including the European directorates, Adknowledge and AdParlor (where he still sits on the board). AdParlor is a strategic partner for Google, Facebook, Snapchat and other major platforms. Ben Legg has helped many of the world's leading companies understand the threats and opportunities presented by the major platforms and then helped them build successful partnerships.
