The path to better well-being and future management with psychological security

Psychological safety has become a buzzword in management and teamwork, and for good reason. This lecture brings the participants closer to the way that we feel safe in our working environment, we have a greater opportunity to be authentic, take chances and learn from our mistakes. This leads to innovative thinking, increased creativity and a more productive work environment. But what does psychological safety really mean? Psychological safety is about creating an environment where employees and team members feel comfortable and safe in expressing their opinions, sharing ideas and asking questions. It is about creating a culture where it is acceptable to acknowledge mistakes and learn from them, without fear of negative consequences or punishment. One of the most important factors in creating psychological security is the role of management. Managers must be aware of their behavior and communication to create an environment where employees feel comfortable being open and honest. This includes showing empathy, actively listening to employee concerns, and openly acknowledging mistakes and challenges. There are also certain key points that managers and teams can focus on to create and maintain psychological safety. Firstly, it is important to establish clear expectations and goals for the collaboration. This helps create a sense of security and direction in the work. Secondly, it is crucial to create an atmosphere characterized by respect and openness. This can be achieved by encouraging a culture of constructive feedback and listening to all voices in a team. When employees feel heard and respected, they are more likely to contribute their ideas and give their best. Finally, it is important to emphasize the importance of learning and development. Psychological safety means embracing failure as an opportunity for learning and growth. When employees feel safe enough to experiment, take chances and learn from their mistakes, it can really drive innovation and improvement in the organization. As managers and team members, it is our responsibility to create and maintain a culture characterized by psychological security. This requires patience, openness and continuous effort. But the rewards are many - a more productive, creative and engaged team that lifts each other up and reaches their full potential.
